Kanha International

I came back in Feb 2019, a year after my earlier visit. The staff were polite, and things were available when I asked. There was fresh fruit on the menu. I liked the tawa roti and the egg omelette at breakfast, but I didn't like the mutton at all. The bathroom was very small, both the toilet and bathing areas. The local cable TV wasn't working, and the comforter or quilt was for a single bed rather than a double. The room dustbin was dirty and unhygienic. There was no breakfast or dinner buffet, staff had no uniforms, and the drinking water bottle wasn't complimentary or sold at MRP, with taxes extra. See the service menu in the picture.

The food was poor, the staff weren't very helpful, and most of the items on the menu were arranged from a nearby hotel. Rooms are basic, with minimum amenities, but it's okay for a one or two day stay. The main road location is a plus, and mMoti kheel and shaeed park are within walking distance.

There are lots of places to eat nearby, and Kanha International is centrally located and reputed in Kanpur. Still, for what you pay, it falls short in several ways. The rooms are quite small with very low ceilings, there was no hot water in the bathroom, and I even saw a small mouse in my room. I've posted a photo of the menu kept in the room. I also found it annoying that the staff wanted tips after every service. That's why I gave Kanha just two stars.

The staff were very cordial, and the food was good. I booked a Deluxe Room, but there was a problem with the hot water, so they moved me to a Suit within 30 mts. and included free breakfast. A very nice hotel that really felt like a home away from home.
