The staff behavior was the worst part of a terrible family stay. On the second day, I was arranging an auto for local sightseeing when a staff member suddenly stepped in to negotiate with the same driver for another family. I told him I had called the auto first, but he abused me and booked it for them anyway. We had to wait for another one and our plans were delayed. I don't know his name, but he was rude and didn't know how to treat guests. Room service was also nonexistent. We paid around ₹3,600 per day for three days for an AC triple room booked through MakeMyTrip, a rate I associate with a 3-star hotel. The room was old-fashioned and in poor condition, despite the attractive, cozy pictures on MakeMyTrip and OYO. The queen-size bed I paid for was actually three separate cots pushed together. The room was dirty, the bedding was poor quality, and there were bed bugs. The sheets, blankets, and pillow covers were worse than IRCTC standards. The blankets weren't enough with the AC on, so we had to use two at once. Even then, we had to ask staff to turn on the master switch whenever we wanted to use the AC, despite paying an AC fee. There were only two hard-to-reach plug points, with very old fittings. Plaster was coming off in several places, and there was just one poor-quality wooden chair and one table. The water pressure was extremely low, hardly any water came from the tap, and no soap was available. Please don't waste your money here. There are better options at the same price, and I strongly advise fellow travelers to avoid this hotel.

Mr. Jayaraj, the manager, made our visit to Kanyakumari better. He was supportive, tourist-friendly, and guided us well. The hotel was great value for money, with very good service. Highly recommended!

The room reminded me of my 10+2 hostel 😭. I spent the whole day with a cockroach. If you love them, visit this place. They could call it a Cockroach Hotel 🪳

The rooms are big, but the facilities are below average. They even charged me an extra 1000 rp for early check-in. My experience at this lodge was very bad.

I'm a woman traveling alone to Kanyakumari, so I called the lodge first. I explained that my train arrived at 5.30 in the morning and I was leaving at 6 pm the same day, and asked how I should book. The man told me to book for that same day and asked whether I could use Google Pay. I wanted a booking on record instead of paying a random number, so I booked legally through the IRCTC website and called him to check the confirmation. When I told him the website had charged me 600 after a discount, he said they couldn't give me a room for 600. I told him he should be ashamed. The lodge advertises on IRCTC, but when someone books through it with a discount, he says they won't provide the room. I was relying on the prepaid booking to make my trip go smoothly. He told me to cancel because he wouldn't give me the room for that amount. Why advertise there, then? They replied that they have no tie-up with IRCTC. Convenient, huh? I attached a screenshot of the booking. You can't just say there is no tie-up when, during my call, you clearly asked me to cancel my reservation. If there really were no tie-up, why was the reservation confirmed, and why did you ask me to cancel and book online? Fraudsters!
