Hotel Maadhini

I checked in at 7 pm, and the in-charge agreed to a 4 pm checkout, saying it would be fine since it was a weekday. I checked out at 3:58 pm and reported to reception at 4:01 pm. Yet staff came at 3:55 pm asking me to vacate, which was unnecessary and inconvenient. A reminder call to the room would have been enough. The receptionist spoke hurriedly and discourteously instead of handling it politely. Guests should be treated respectfully, and commitments made by the in-charge should be honored. Is this the standard of service you intend to provide? It reflects badly on the property's hospitality and professionalism. The reception staff were extremely rude and unprofessional. The night receptionist promised a late checkout at 4 PM, but the morning receptionist refused to honor it and spoke harshly. They say one thing at night, then deny it in the morning. Hot water is available only for one hour at fixed times. Complimentary breakfast is limited to an hour, and if you're five minutes late, nothing is served. They don't provide drinking water, and small requests are ignored. Every staff member seems to expect tips just for doing their job, which feels exploitative. The rooms are poorly maintained, there is no proper service or comfort, common areas are unclean, and housekeeping is careless. There's no accountability; staff argue instead of solving problems. The hotel charges like a standard property but delivers nothing close to it. Don't trust ratings on Agora or MMT, they don't match the actual experience. This place was a complete disappointment. Save yourself the frustration and avoid Hotel Maadini. NO OPTION TO GIVE 0 STAR.

The view from the hotel was wonderful, right in front of the beach, and everything was easy to get to. There's a restaurant just below the hotel. Service was beautiful, the food awesome, and the staff very polite. The bathrooms and bedsheets were clean. If you're looking for a comfortable stay you'll cherish, please choose this hotel. I'd say it's one of the best present in Kanyakumari.

We booked at the last minute, and the clean, good room suited our family and child. The hotel terrace itself is a good spot for sunrise. The complimentary breakfast was average, and they need to improve the food taste a little. It's very close to the temple and boat jetty.

The room and location are decent, but the way the owners and staff treated us ruined the stay. Their pricing and treatment felt unfair and opportunistic. When we discussed the problems, the owners were extremely rude and dismissive, saying we could do whatever we wanted and they'd charge the same regardless. It felt threatening and unprofessional. As we were leaving, staff asked for tips. We declined after the poor experience, and they started speaking negatively in their local language, clearly about us. We booked an AC room for two days at ₹3500 per night and checked in on 11th February 2026. On the first morning, the AC stopped working. We told management right away, but nothing was done all day. Around 11 PM, they suddenly asked us to change rooms. We were exhausted and had already unpacked everything, so we asked them to deal with it the next day. They somehow fixed the AC the following day, but still charged the full ₹3500, with no adjustment for the long period it hadn't worked. The problem was entirely on their end. After two days, our train was later that day, so we asked for a few extra hours. Instead of extending the same room, they moved us to a small non-AC room and charged ₹1500 for just 5 hours.
