We lasted just one night of our three night booking and spent the remaining two nights elsewhere. When we asked the manager to refund us or move us to another property in tosh, he refused outright. We’d stayed at other Whoopers properties before, which is why we chose the brand in kasol for 29th Dec to 1st Jan, but this place is dragging the Whoopers name down. If they can’t find proper staff to run it, they should shut it down. The property wasn’t maintained properly, and the water kept cutting out randomly. Each time, both the caretaker and manager said the tank was filling up, and it happened many times a day. There was no HOT water at -4C, even though we were paying a premium yearend price. The common area felt more like a junkie place than somewhere to hang out. It’s also 4kms from main kasol market and the happening area, with no easy connection.

Between Manikaran and Kasol, the location is cool, and the roof at Nomad hostel is awesome. But my sheets had already been used, there was no power in my room, and the toilet was a bit grim. At £4 a night, I guess you get what you pay for.

I spent 10 days here, and the convenient location made it easy to get around. The room was comfortable, clean and well-equipped, with housekeeping each day. Service was smooth, and the polite, responsive staff were always willing to help. Great stay for me, and I’d recommend it for a short or long visit.

I came to the Kasol hostel on my own, but the crowd made me feel right at home, and I had a great time. The staff were so welcoming, which helped create a friendly, wholesome vibe. It’s a laid-back place to relax and unwind, with an atmosphere that’s hard to beat. I’ll bring my friends next time so they can experience it too. Recommend it if you want to chill and connect in Kasol.
