The Kumbha Mahal Resort

We left early and booked another hotel straight away because we didn’t want to lose another day. There was no refund or complimentary solution. The online four-star rating bears little resemblance to the place we experienced, which barely felt like one star. I don’t know where the positive reviews came from. This was the worst stay I’ve had, nothing like what was promised online. The room had no window or ventilation. Its exhaust fan faced the bed, and without it bad odors filled the room. There was also a cigarette smell from somewhere. The jacuzzi was broken and noisy, and there was no shower. Breakfast was just one item, with no choice. Staff weren’t supportive. There was no dental kit or green tea, and when we asked, we were told they don’t provide them. The landline didn’t work. This is a truthful review, not fake. If everything was good, why would we have left early? Did you refund the amount, and is that why we gave a good review??

The location and facilities make this a very relaxing place, and the rooms have amazing views. Food service was excellent. Manager Mr. Bharat was especially considerate and caring.

The property itself is really nice, but staff aren’t maintaining it. The pool water was dirty and clearly not clean, and our rooms smelled of cigarette smoke. Room service wouldn’t answer calls, and the staff were really rude. The gate closed at 10pm, and after that they wouldn’t let us have a bonfire. That was the most irritating part. People come here to chill and enjoy themselves, not feel trapped in a hostel with rules. Is this a college hostel or what? It’s in the middle of the city. Breakfast was good, but didn’t match the price they charge. Overall, staying here for vacation was a terrible experience.

The food, ambiance, and service were outstanding, and the whole experience was incredible. One day felt much too short. We’d absolutely book again and stay for a week or longer.
