The team made my birthday feel really special with thoughtful little touches. I also had a fantastic spa session and came away feeling refreshed. The resort was peaceful and well cared for, and the food was consistently tasty with lots of choices. I had a lovely stay.

The staff were attentive and did a lot to make sure we were comfortable. My massage felt professional, I was at ease throughout, and my body felt better afterward. The rooms were roomy and spotless, with lovely decor and crisp sheets. Both the breakfast and dinner buffets had plenty of delicious options. I'd recommend the massage.

The Maharashtrian food festival with live cooking was a real highlight, and the morning buffet was generous and welcoming. Both dining spots were great. The resort has also been upgraded under its new group and management, with a fresh design, a more premium feel, and a focus on sustainability. Staff were extremely courteous and approachable. There’s a kids’ game room, though arcade games cost extra, plus an EV charging station and pottery and caricature activities on site. There’s still room to add more activities. If you’ve been to Dukes Retreat before, this is the same resort. Worth visiting, and I might come back.

The location is hard to beat, but the service has been slow and unresponsive. On my first visit, a three-day reunion in December 2025 with 30 IIT Mumbai batchmates, the stay was mostly satisfactory, though responsiveness was already an issue. I returned today with 15 family members and don't plan to come back. Service at A-Diner was very slow. At the top-floor bar, they wouldn't serve coffee, saying they only offered cocktails or mocktails, even though tea and coffee are listed on the menu. Their take-it-or-leave-it attitude made it worse, and they wouldn't explain why those drinks were on the menu.

The breakfast spread was very generous, and the rooms and service were both very good. The location and view are fantastic. The rates feel much higher than other hotels in Khandla and Lonavala, though. If you're happy to pay extra for the setting and the view, this could be the place for you.
