The Pavilion restaurant at Hotel Abad Fort Kochi was excellent. I enjoyed breakfast, a thali lunch, and a few dinners there. It's an easy walk to Mattancherry (Jewish Area), and Fort Kochi is an easy bus or tuk tuk ride away. The hotel isn't fancy, but it's a good place for a few nights in Kochi. Every staff member was wonderful, friendly, kind, and super helpful. They went out of their way to make me comfortable and welcome.

I visited solo on 14 Jan, 2026, and the people I met were so generous and nice. They even moved me to another room, which was amazing. Everything was arranged so well, and the staff worked quickly and were lovely in nature. The hotel is very good, clean, and in a great location.

The service is good, and the property looks lovely and well cared for from outside. Abad has a great location, though the rooms feel dated and need better cleaning and upkeep. The bathroom fittings are old too, and I still wonder who uses a big key ring instead of a key card. Would I come back? Yes, if I get a better room. Thank you!

The hotel is close to the main road, about 10 km from Ernakulam Junction railway station and roughly 2 km from Thoppumpady. I stayed in a Superior Room. The building is a little old, but both the room and toilet were maintained well. It was spacious, with air conditioning, a TV, mini fridge and tea maker. Tooth and shaving kits, bath towels and drinking water were provided too. Pavilion, the restaurant, seats over 50 and serves Indian and Chinese food. Breakfast is included, although the choices are limited. There are a lift and parking, plus party halls for 75 and 150 guests. Mattancherry is around 2.5 km away and Fort Kochi about 5 km. You can take the Water Metro to Ernakulam from either place.

The staff were really good, and the room service was great. The hotel is well maintained, and the food was especially good, with very nice South Indian dishes. I’d highly recommend staying here.
