Cherai Beach Palace

We went to this resort with friends this week and found the room average for the price. They gave us one bottle of drinking water and charged extra for more. The WiFi only worked for a limited time because of power issues, and there were frequent cuts due to voltage problems. The pool was meant to be open until 10.pm but had closed before 8.30 pm. The whole experience was disappointing. I wouldn't recommend it.

We spent a week here as a family of 4 and had an excellent stay. The location was very good, the place felt homely, and all the staff, including the manager, were amazing. They were happy to help with anything, and their trip ideas and recommendations were really good. We'll definitely come back when we visit cherai beach kerala. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

The meals were good, and there are shops nearby, but tea and coffee weren't available in the mornings or evenings. They only served them with breakfast or dinner, and water bottles weren't provided every day. The beach-facing rooms were clean and nice, and the pool was well maintained. They forgot the pool tubes for the kids and only gave them to us on the third day.

The rooftop restaurant had a nice beach view, and the room's tharavadu feel was pleasant. But this didn't feel like a 3 star hotel, and I don't understand how it got a 4 star rating. There are many other options in Cherai, so check those before booking. We didn't feel comfortable or that it was good value, even if it may be budget friendly. The AC barely worked during the summer, which was the biggest problem. There were no cupboards, the door creaked and disturbed us, and basic items like tissue, tooth brush, and tooth paste weren't provided. The food was average, and there isn't a restaurant on site, so you have to order in advance and can't add anything later. The complementary breakfast was just for namesake, with no options. Outside food may suit you better if you want choices. Room service and reception staff were friendly, but seemed poorly trained and unprofessional. They don't accept credit card payment here.
