Petit Elephant

I booked through booking.com, where the reservation clearly said payment would be made at the property. They messaged me asking for payment in advance, and I questioned why, since the booking was confirmed with that option. I've used pay-at-property bookings at several places internationally, including in peak season, without being pressured to pay early. It made me wonder if they have a poor property and expect complaints after the stay. The few reviews I read seem to support that impression.

The complimentary breakfast was good, and although there weren't many staff, they helped when we approached them. We also had the place to ourselves, which gave us complete privacy. The room was just okay, and the service could have been better. It was missing basic things like plates, tissues, and a dental kit. There wasn't a proper system for requesting help, so we had to call staff directly, and no one helped with our luggage. The grounds were overgrown and not very clean, and there was quite a bit of wood dust in the room, probably from the wooden roof.

We had lovely sunsets and nights listening to and watching the Arabian Sea at Le Petit. The place was comfortable, in a beautiful location, and the staff were so kind and friendly.

The rooms are fairly large for this quaint little resort. Pricing, amenities, and staff were all great, and the team was especially helpful and accommodating. I'd definitely recommend staying here.
