Green Reed Resort

The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well maintained, and the freshly prepared food was delicious with plenty of choices for different tastes. Staff were courteous and attentive, taking care of our needs promptly. A pleasant stay and good value for money. The staff were very kind, polite, and well mannered. Thank you.

I stayed one night. Green Reed Resorts had no rooms available because it was fully booked, but they were helpful and cordial and arranged a room just opposite the resort through Eastindiaexpeditions. The room was excellent, with a well-furnished bathroom and hot and cold water available 24x7. It had new beds and everything else was new. The blue matt floor tiles were excellent for sleeping on, though there was no hanger for shirts, just a small wardrobe. A table with tea, one free water bottle, and an electric kettle with hot water were provided. There are several places to dine about 500 mts away. The rate was about Rs 1800 Rs per night in full season.

The staff were very rude. I got there around 8 PM and asked for tea, but they flatly refused because they were busy with dinner service. They provided no basic amenities like a toothbrush, soap, or toothpaste, and the beds creaked so badly they sounded like ox carts. The staff acted as if they were doing us a favor by serving us. The food portions were very small.

Mukund, the owner of Green reed resort, was helpful and prompt throughout, with genuine suggestions and guidance. The property arranged an excellent quality, property-owned jeep with pickup and drop to the resort or hotel, plus an excellent driver cum guide, Shankar da. His bird spotting was right on point and made our jeep safari memorable and flawless. The jeep safari rate was the best, too. There are different room types for different budgets. We had a large, neat, clean suite with enough room for 3 -4 people, and the washroom was big and hygienic. The room had a kettle, TV, and AC, and there was good parking on the property. It's close to the central zone range ( Kohra range), and the food and tea were good. We stayed 2N and had zero complaints. Kohra range is 28kms away and Bagori ( western) is 18 kms away. If you only have time or budget for one jeep safari, I'd recommend Kohra zone. It lasts 2.5 hours. I'd also suggest the 45-minute elephant safari for a close view of one horn rhino. Mukund arranged the jeep safari and made sure everything went smoothly. Green reed was a perfect stay for us. The food truck outside the resort serves tasty food, so do try it.
