Silver Oak Hotel

I've stayed here before, last year, and the hotel is still well maintained. It's near Ambabai Mandir, within walking distance of the temple. Service is prompt, and there's an attached restaurant where the food is good quality and served hot. I'd recommend staying here.

The hotel did apologize later, including when I checked out, but the stay was still disappointing. I booked mainly because it was close to my workplace and Google search showed a 3-star tag. I reached around 1:15 PM and was told to wait because the previous guests had checked out late, though the standard checkout time was noon. I agreed and had lunch in the hotel restaurant. Afterwards, the reception area was being used for a party, so I had to look for the receptionist to check in. He said casually that the paperwork could be done later. That evening I was told to hand over my ID when I returned. When I did come back, the receptionist was leaving on his two-wheeler. The next morning I was heading to an important meeting when he asked for my ID again. I was running late and asked to give it to him when I got back, but he bluntly told me to check out immediately and was rude without a valid reason. I tried several times to explain, but he kept misbehaving. I finally gave him my ID and rushed to the meeting. They didn't provide basic things like a disposable razor or dental kit, which many average hotels have nowadays. On checkout day, as I was getting ready to leave around 11:30 AM, they called at 11:15 and asked me to check out. I pointed out that checkout was at noon, and was told that because I'd checked in "early," I should leave early too. I had to explain that arriving at 1:30 PM could hardly count as early check-in. This is honestly the first time I've had such an experience at any hotel in India.

I booked an AC Deluxe Room for 27/05/2026 to 28/05/2026, but the stay was unsatisfactory. The linens weren't clean, and I had to remind room service repeatedly about basic requests. Restaurant food cost more than the prices shown on the menu card in the room. I'd already paid all the charges, including the food bill, before checkout, yet I got a call the next day asking me to pay again. There seemed to be poor coordination and record keeping among the staff. The cleanliness, service, and billing problems made the stay unpleasant. I hope management deals with these issues and improves the service.

The room made a family stay uncomfortable: it was tiny and congested, and the weak air conditioning left it feeling suffocating. The staff were uncooperative and service was poor. The worst part was what happened with the bedsheets. At booking they promised two free sheets, then after check-in said only one would be provided. When we asked for another, they demanded ₹1000 extra, even though the room cost ₹3000. Hotel Silver Oak lacked honesty, professionalism, and basic customer care. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone wanting a comfortable, trustworthy stay.
