Hotel Vijayraj

I had a very bad experience and wouldn’t recommend this hotel. We booked 3 rooms in Jan, then had to cancel because of a personal issue. We’d paid most of the money by net banking in advance, as their website committed to, and called to inform them 5 days ahead, as confirmed over the phone. My wife followed up for 3 months, but each time they gave one reason or another to avoid refunding us. They take advance payments but don’t keep their website promise about refunds for cancellations. They also have no manners when speaking to customers. We’ve stopped following up.

Hotel Vijayraj works well for a short visit, like 1 Night. It’s conveniently located for the Bus & Railway stations. It used to have dining, which I enjoyed as a kid, but now it just has lodging-boarding and an SBI branch.

The toilets were really bad, the water was dirty, and the water facility was poor. The AC didn’t work up to the mark either. Staying here was the worst, a complete waste of money and not worth a single penny. If you’re wise, don’t go for this.

For a night in Kolhapur while visiting for Ambadevi darshan, this is the best economy hotel. The friendly staff are always ready to help. The food they serve, which they get from some nearby hotel, is really, really tasty.
