We found the room neat and clean, with no carpet or bathroom mat, and it had the toiletries we needed. It came with a safe, air conditioning, ironing facilities, a flat-screen TV, and a hair dryer, plus tea and coffee facilities. The free drinking water was unlimited, which impressed me, though I personally don't like having a minibar. The food at Zyka was delicious, including the snack we ate there. The staff were very helpful and courteous, always ready with directions and a smile. The hotel is near Park Street, and the drive from Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Airport took about 45 minutes at 4 pm on a Thursday working day. The hotel is described as a 4-star property and has 52 rooms. The windows had dark blinds that could be rolled up, but there wasn't much of a city view, except perhaps from some higher rooms. At least the fixed windows didn't make the room feel claustrophobic. One thing that disturbed us was a visitor across the hall repeatedly slamming the opposite door through much of the night. That wasn't the hotel's fault. Even so, we remember our stay fondly.

The area felt convenient for the city centre, yet it stayed fairly quiet and wasn't too busy. I found it good value for money. The rooms were clean, cozy, and comfortable, and the staff were attentive and helpful. Breakfast had a good mix of Indian and international choices. There is a bar on the ground floor, plus a rooftop with a bar and food.

We booked Aurus for our wedding guests in 2020, during covid, and the staff were incredibly cooperative when the situation led to last-minute cancellations. They worked with us to get the best deal possible. Suraj, if you're still there, thanks for going out of your way to accommodate us. The rooms looked modern and chic, and our guests loved staying there. This review is very late, but thank you!

We were there on business and each had a separate room, though we didn't spend much time in them. The stay was comfortable, the service was quick, and Wi-Fi was available. Reception staff were helpful. The in-house restaurant's food wasn't up to the mark, but there are plenty of other restaurants nearby. Aauris is a 4-star hotel in a prime area of Kolkata.
