Aster Guest House

Aster Guest House felt homely, and the rooms were clean, comfortable, tidy, and well kept, with fresh linens. The staff were so friendly and helpful, even taking good care of my belongings in storage. Its location near Park Street and the US Consulate was perfect. I had a wonderful stay and will definitely be back!

The location was convenient, and the food was really good. My room was comfortable, clean, and well maintained, with the necessary amenities. Check-in went smoothly, and the staff were polite and helpful throughout. I felt well looked after and had a pleasant stay. I'd recommend it to anyone looking for good hospitality.

I spent two days here and found the service excellent. The host was kind, listened patiently to my questions, and handled them politely; the staff were attentive, friendly, and ready to help with requests. The rooms are spacious, though they might feel a little compact if you want lots of open space. Mine was comfortable and well maintained, and I'd be happy to return.

At the ground floor, getting into the lift meant being hit by a strong, unpleasant garbage and urine smell. The guest house is on the 2nd floor. Staff were courteous, but the room didn't feel hygienic: it wasn't fresh and looked nothing like the pictures. The bedsheets were clean, though the floor seemed poorly cleaned, and the bathroom was especially disappointing, with visible stains on the door, sink, and commode. Breakfast comes from outside, and its source isn't clear. The choices were only puri-bhaji or idli-sambar. From the hotel's own kitchen, there was just bread omelette or plain Maggi. For the price, this place is highly overrated, and better accommodation is easy to find nearby. It wasn't a pleasant experience at all, and I strongly recommend avoiding this hotel.
