I’m warning people about what I believe was a major fraud at this restaurant and hotel, black ambience. I say I was cheated out of ₹80,000 through what seemed like a coordinated setup involving staff and particular guests. Ten “Premium Hookahs” I didn’t order or agree to were added to my bill at very high prices, inflating it into the tens of thousands. Two women at the venue appeared to be working with management to lure targets and help carry out the scheme. The owners and staff wear expensive gold chains, rings, and watches, which I believe were paid for with money taken from unsuspecting customers. I don’t consider this a legitimate business. I felt people were relying on intimidation and trickery to rob customers, so stay away if you’re concerned about your money and safety. I’ve already started the process of reporting it to the local police station. If this has happened to you too, I urge you to do the same. For a claimed amount of ₹80,000, the advice is to file an FIR for cheating and fraud at a nearby police station. If you paid by credit or debit card, contact your bank right away about a fraudulent transaction and whether a chargeback is possible. A complaint can also be filed through the National Consumer Helpline (NCH) or the Umang app. Keep evidence such as a photo of the bill, transaction SMS alerts, and descriptions of the people involved.
