Goroomgo Luxurious Stay Kolkata

The room photos online on Google and Agoda look completely different from the actual place, so don’t stay here. I paid Rs.3395/- for Feb 18 to Feb 21, at a listed price of Rs.1100/- per night, but left around 1 pm without even staying half a day. I was extremely disappointed and angry about the service. The place was so unhygienic I wouldn’t expect animals to stay there. The bedsheet was torn, stained, and had insects, and they gave me no extra sheet or towel. The toiletries were disgusting, and the washroom looked like a public street toilet. I didn’t dare go in. After paying 3K+ for three days, I had to move to another hotel at a much higher cost because the place was so horrible and unclean. I asked the staff to address the issue and refund me because it wasn’t like the pictures, but they refused. They also wanted another 800/- for the stay, saying Agoda hadn’t paid them. After more discussion, I left without a refund, not even half the amount. After searching for three days before reaching the city, I found that most hotels in Kolkatta didn’t look like their pictures and charged high prices for 0* facilities. The next hotel was clean and hygienic, but cramped, with room for only one bed, and cost 2k per day. That’s the situation in this city, a complete ripoff.
