The area around the hotel is very nice, and the hotel itself is very good. Room service was good too. Mr Tauhid, one of the managers, had a really pleasant manner and attitude, and he's a good guy. The other manager was good as well.

I picked this place because I needed an Indian-style toilet for my parents, which is hard to find at other hotels. We stayed two nights as a family, and although I can't complain about that part, I wouldn't return unless I had to. The rooms were the biggest letdown: we booked two, and both were tiny, dusty, and unclean when we arrived. The property is old and showed clear neglect. There was hair on the bed and floor, stained sheets, dirty flooring, and a dusty fridge. They weren't soundproof either. Even though I had called a day ahead, the rooms weren't ready. After we complained, a staff member promptly changed the bedding and dusted, and they offered to clean again the next day, but we declined because we didn't think it would make much difference. The location is a real plus, in a prime area with easy access to major attractions, shops, and taxis. The reception and service staff were genuinely friendly, helpful, and responsive. When we asked for late checkout because of a late-night flight, they arranged it smoothly for a ₹3000 fee. The day before we arrived, the person on the phone was polite and urged me to trust their hospitality. They also said many negative reviews came from guests who hadn't received discounts. I decided to give the hotel a chance. For a solo traveler on a tight budget, it could work for a quick stay. For families or anyone expecting basic cleanliness, I wouldn't recommend it. The hotel service was very good, and everyone was so nice.

The hotel is in an excellent location, within walking distance of Esplanade and Park Street, and the rooms were good with a clean washroom. The ambience felt cluttered, though. The main problem was the staff member who escorted me to my room, who kept asking for tips. I carried my own luggage, but he still asked for money. Whenever I placed an order, he would take a portion as his tip and then ask for more. Please don't pressure guests to tip.
