Hotel O Grand Inn

A really disappointing waste of time and money. The staff were rude, the linen was used, and there was neither Wi-Fi nor TV. They may refuse to check you in if your reservation came through OYO or another aggregator. You can get better service nearby for less. This place was pathetic, and if negative ratings were possible, I'd give it minus five. Please avoid booking here.

We left as early as we could after spending a night in a filthy room. The sheets were unbelievably soiled and the toilet was revolting, while the room was much smaller than the photos suggested. I had booked because I needed a very late check-in and had messaged the property about our arrival. They confirmed the booking and said the front desk knew about it, but when we arrived at 12:30 pm they claimed our room wasn't available, even though they could see the reservation. After I showed them our long message thread, they blamed OYO for handling messages and said they didn't care if I reported them to booking.com or Oyo. Their tone and attitude were frightening. They offered two rooms for extra payment, then told us to leave when I mentioned the police. I worried they might do something awful if I kept arguing. With my elderly parents and sister travelling with me, and no other option around then, I took a room. The place felt dirty and dangerous, and the people running it seemed like goons who could threaten guests to leave at any hour. I'd seen some good reviews and hoped for the best, but maybe those were local people or just very lucky guests.

The one decent thing was the quiet, relaxed location. Inside, though, my room, number 201, had shabby walls with fungus on them. They didn't provide basics like hot water, a towel, or drinking water, and when I asked, they acted as if they were doing me a favor. Easily my worst experience.

The sheets were filthy, there was no extra blanket, and we got no towel at all. Even the bucket and mug weren't in the room. I asked for a towel, but the so-called manager ignored me. When we arrived around midnight, he was unwelcoming and tried to charge us an extra Rs. 200, though I'd already booked a family room. Staff seemed completely unprofessional and kept taking screenshots of my payment and booking as if they had no idea about either one. I wouldn't recommend Hotel O grand Inn to anyone. Booking.com should remove it from its site. I wish I could give a negative rating.
