Hotel Soot

The reception team and all the staff were incredible and professional. After a frustrating day that started badly when I arrived, they really helped me and took great care of me. The rooms were modern, very nice, and clean, and the high reviews I’d hoped were accurate actually exceeded my expectations. I first booked another hotel in town, but was disappointed by its cleanliness, service, and lack of views. At Hotel Soot, I also had a delicious breakfast buffet in the lobby, including a fresh dosa and a fantastic double shot espresso. The rooftop lounge AIRE had fantastic food and a view, and I highly recommend it. Highly, highly recommend!

Bathrooms, linen, and towels were exceptionally hygienic, and room service was prompt and courteous. The staff were well behaved and ready to help. It’s a small hotel with narrow corridors and acceptable food, in a prime location near the airport. I’d recommend it to business travellers on a short visit, but not for long stays or families with kids.

After a long day, the spotless, well-furnished room was very comfortable. The food was excellent, especially the local dishes with the authentic taste of Bengal, and I appreciated the hotel’s attention to cleanliness and detail. The staff were warm, professional, and always ready to help with a smile. A big thanks to Miss Moumita Manna for her kind, friendly nature and for going out of her way to make guests feel welcome. I truly appreciate her and the whole team’s hospitality. She’s one of my good friends, and her nature is so good and polite. I’d love to come back soon.

Bimal Das was polite and attentive, and made sure everything went smoothly. The room dining was good, with prompt service and quality food. I didn’t like the buffet dinner, though. There were very few options, especially for vegetarians, only 2-3 dishes, and the food was quite tasteless. Still, the experience was pleasant overall.
