For a budget hotel, the basics were in poor shape. The bathroom was pretty much unusable, and its 1L geyser gave only about two minutes of hot water before I had to finish bathing in cold water. Bedsheets and pillows were stained, and room service was irregular. The food menu was limited and the food lacked taste. They don't subscribe to basic news or sports channels either. Service was pathetic, with the same person cleaning the bathroom and bringing food. I wouldn't recommend staying here.

The staff were very good, but the place didn't feel worth what they charge. Rooms and washrooms are both very small, and the ambience isn't good. At around 600-800, it might be okay; otherwise I wouldn't stay. The room photos on OYO don't match the actual rooms.

The in-house kitchen doesn't operate in the evening, so you'll need to get food from outside. The water heater also takes forever to warm the water. It's an average place and not worth more than Rs 1000/night. I wouldn't recommend it for a family, and would leave it as a last option if there are no other nearby hotels.

The sheets seemed old and dirty, and the place wasn't very clean. When we requested room service while we were out, they replaced the sheets but left the duvet cover unchanged. They even tried hiding old dirty spots with a cloth, as if we wouldn't notice. A few times we were disturbed in our room without warning, and the room phone didn't always work, so we couldn't reach reception whenever we needed to. It's far from the center, though that may be fine if location doesn't matter to you. I'd only recommend it if you're looking for somewhere quite cheap and can sleep on old sheets for a couple of nights.

The rooms were nice, and apart from one staff member who stared awkwardly and was impolite when we checked in around 7 pm, it was a good experience. The location isn't as good as many other hotels in New Town. From the nearest bus stop, Narkelbagan, it's about a 10-15 minute walk, or you can take a cab.
