Food isn't available here, and checkout could be made easier. The room was small and inconvenient for the price. They ask around 1300 a night, but I've found better rooms for that price around New town.

After a 22-hour journey with our 4-year-old, we ended up stuck on the phone for hours because the hotel refused to give us accommodation. We had arranged everything with the booking website and the hotel before arriving, and followed the preferences we'd discussed with the booking site. The receptionist still created an issue and wouldn't let us have a room. Eventually the hotel team admitted the deal had been confirmed with the booking site. Who suffers from this? The customers. This hotel is a SCAM. Don't book it if you're visiting Kolkata.

After 1.5 hours of arguing, they finally gave us a room without asking for extra payment, and said they would sort things out with Agoda themselves. We had booked and paid through Agoda, but when we arrived the staff refused to hand over a room because they thought our price was too low and wanted double. Nobody took responsibility for the online offer. The receptionist was rude and disrespectful, kept interrupting us, and said the Agoda issue was ours to explain, not his. The room was small and not very clean, with a dirty bedsheet and hair on the pillows. One of my worst hotel experiences in India.

At 11:30 at night, the manager still wouldn't give us a room even after we showed our booking details and Agoda had called the hotel. We had reserved two nights through Agoda and arrived at night to check in. The receptionist or manager was impolite and denied us twice, including after Agoda customer service called back. When I asked for a room after the booking was cancelled, the manager wanted 4000 rs for one night. The staff were rude and badly behaved. The place didn't feel safe at night for women or couples, and the hotel is on the second floor with a very scary way up. We somehow managed to book another Oyo, which is a long story, and eventually checked in that night.
