Only the caretaker was a bright spot. He was polite and tried to help with what he had. The rest was a very bad experience at Amit Guest House, also called Hotel Fortune Palace, since they’re the same place. There were only 2-3 rooms and the hotel was still under construction, with walls being painted. We found dirty sheets, a broken toilet seat, ants in the room, no AC remote, and one day no water at all. They charged extra for basics like drinking water and demanded full payment at check-in. The owner chewed tobacco while talking to us, which felt very unprofessional.

The staff were really good, and they cleaned the room as soon as we complained that it was dirty when we checked in. It’s a decent guest house, though there’s room for improvement. The location is a bit far from the main attractions.

I checked out the same day. The mosquitoes and bugs were everywhere, and the sheets, pillows, and towels were filthy and in awful shape. It was one of the dirtiest guest houses I’ve seen, completely unhygienic and unsafe. Honestly, even animals couldn’t stay in that mess.

Lovely staff and a great stay. They were well groomed, and the hospitality and service made it memorable.
