Soukyam Hotel

Getting around Kolkata was easy from this hotel, with shared autos and cars readily available nearby. The in-house restaurant had very good food at reasonable prices, and Mr. Pradeep looked after guests with a warm smile. Many thanks as well to receptionists Ms. Jaquiline and Ms. Chumki for making our family stay so pleasant. The rooms were neat, comfortable, and tidy, with clean, well-kept bedspreads and towels. Room service was excellent, and the hotel exceeded our expectations. A very good family stay, highly recommended.

The staff impressed me most. Everyone was helpful and took care of what we needed without excuses, and service was prompt. We stayed three days with family, and the rooms were clean and spacious. Highly recommended.

My wife and I have stayed here three times. The rooms are simple and comfortable, and the food is clean, tasty, and reasonably priced. The South Indian dishes are especially worth mentioning. It’s conveniently located, with friendly, cooperative staff, particularly Jacqueline and Chumky. Working at a desk in the room isn’t ideal. But for this price range, it suits you well if you’re meeting people and mainly need somewhere to come back to, rest, and sleep.

The kind front office staff gave useful suggestions, and my phone conversation and later emails were answered with proper information. Ms. Jacqueline took great care of me and offered helpful advice. Another woman there was just as kind, though I can’t recall her name. The rooms were clean and tidy, the food was delicious, and I had a wonderful time. It feels homely. I liked the name at first, and now I know a place to stay in Kolkata. I’ll come back to soukyam.
