Taj Taal Kutir

The food was awesome, especially the desserts. They're hard to resist, and I wanted more. Since there aren't many rooms, there was no buffet, which seemed reasonable to avoid waste; the personalized food was delicious. The property is in the city but away from the busy center, and close to the airport, with a lovely lake view, greenery, a great pool, and a large banquet hall. The service really makes an impression at every turn. Housekeeping staff were quick and helpful, especially Ms Susmita Das and Lasang. At the Verandah coffee shop, Chandan, Anjali, Harshita, Diksha, and Pragati at Lake view were all efficient and caring. Thanks to them.

Breakfast was a highlight: although there were no live counters, everything was made fresh to order, and the staff were happy to customize dishes. There was a good range of breads and South Indian food, fresh fruit and premium dry fruits, plus milk, tea, coffee, and oat milk. During our day at Taj Kutir, Kolkata, the room stayed pristine with very frequent cleaning whenever we needed it. The place was calm, tidy, and immaculately clean, a peaceful escape in the city. We got a refreshing welcome drink, and the staff were consistently friendly. Srikanth was particularly helpful and guiding, and made us feel at home. Room service and housekeeping were impressive. I really enjoyed the stay and recommend Taj Kutir for its tranquil atmosphere and service.

The rooms and food are best in class, though what counts as best depends on each person's taste and preferences. I had a very pleasant time here. Set beside Eco Park Lake in New Town, the hotel is in a calm spot where you can enjoy a relaxing break.

The people made this stay unforgettable. After nearly 45 hours of travel, our large, diverse group from the U.S. and elsewhere arrived exhausted, with travelers of different experience levels and plenty of special requests. Everyone was treated with warmth and care, and nobody had a bad experience. Ryia and the welcome team greeted us with a lovely ritual and made check-in seamless. I've stayed in luxury hotels across Europe, the Middle East, Latin America, and North America, and Taj Taal Kutir's service rivals, and honestly surpasses, many famous properties around the world. The wedding events we attended were beautiful, but the day-to-day care stood out most. At The Verandah, Binam, Prince, Keban, and Pearl handled dietary needs and requests kindly and professionally. Ratnesh at the Lakeview Lounge encouraged us to relax and enjoy the evening even though we arrived close to closing. Vijay made sightseeing comfortable and safe as our driver. Manish made time at the pool and gym feel easy and luxurious, Raj kept our room spotless and well stocked, and Ritu took great care with the laundry. The spa was exceptional too: Gourtam helped melt away the travel stress, and the team made booking easy even before we arrived. Thank you to all of them and everyone else who made us feel like family. We'll return and recommend the hotel to everyone we know.
