The floors and room were very unclean, and the customer service was poor. The manager was rude, as was the general behavior of the staff. Management needs to change the manager or the business will keep going downhill. I’d never recommend this nasty hotel in kolkata.

The hotel is closed, but it still appears on booking apps and Google.

We chose Hotel Quest International after seeing promising reviews, hoping for a break from the chaos in Kolkata. Local solicitors caused trouble as soon as we arrived, and a manager who initially seemed courteous soon gave way to a disappointing experience. Our room was advertised with air conditioning, but it didn’t cool the room. When switched on, it only blew warm air, and staff refused or made excuses despite our repeated requests to activate it. Staff were unprofessional, denied services, and seemed annoyed when we asked for help. We checked out early because of the conditions, after less than three hours, but the manager was confrontational and insisted we pay for a full day. They also withheld our passports until we paid in full, which felt coercive and was distressing as international guests. We had also been promised amenities including a rooftop swimming pool. When we asked about it, staff dismissed our questions, then later said it was under construction. The poor maintenance, misleading information, and treatment by staff badly affected our visit, especially during the sacred time of Ramadan. I’d urge potential visitors to consider somewhere else. A hotel should add to a city visit, and Hotel Quest International fell far short. I hope this account helps others.

I paid in advance for two rooms for my Kolkata trip, but when I arrived the hotel said only one was available. The place was in a pathetic condition, with no hygiene and poor service.
