Reception staff were nice and tried to help, though the system seemed to limit what they could do. The linen was clean, and so was the room, but it was very old. The parts you see right away look clean, while corners and drains are a mess. The washrooms were filthy, with mess in every corner, so don’t expect luxury or compare it with the Delhi one. Meals were basic but okay, though breakfast was especially sparse: boiled eggs, a banana, a slice of bread with one jam packet, and half a cup of awful tea. Don’t even go into the kitchen or near it, or you might lose your appetite 🤣

Staff were well behaved and spoke Hindi, Bengali, English, and other languages, so language wasn’t an issue. I had a good single room, and they also have dormitory options you can look into. Decent comfort for a mid to lower budget, and definitely somewhere you can stay.

My first stay here was fine: the staff seemed friendly, and the room was average. But when I came back, they made judgmental remarks about the “cheap” room I’d had and seemed eager for me to leave once they realized I was only staying one night. I wouldn’t stay here again.
