Lotus an Eco Resort Konark

The special charm here is where the river meets the sea, and that’s what makes this eco resort feel so magical. It’s my favorite place on the Puri–Konark Marine Drive and, truly, the best in Odisha. The food is finger-licking good, and staying here brings deep peace and calm, with an atmosphere that feels like heaven. I come to relax whenever life stresses me out, and it’s serene day or night. Come alone or with family or friends, you’ll enjoy yourself and feel cheerful throughout. It’ll stay my favorite for a lifetime.

We chose Lotus Eco Resort, Konark for our destination wedding, and the serene setting and peaceful beach front ambience added a magical touch to the celebrations. The team arranged everything to our requirements, and the decorations were stunning, beautifully done, and matched our customizations. Mr. Sunil Kumar Panigrahi, the General Manager, was polite and understanding, always available with support and guidance. His help made the event seamless and played a major part in its success. We’re truly grateful to him and the whole team for their hard work and dedication in making our big day memorable. Highly recommended for a destination wedding or other special event.

The location was the only part that met expectations. The room for two adults and one child was uncomfortably cramped, with a bed only slightly bigger than a single, and the bathroom door lock didn’t work. Food was average, service slow, and staff didn’t guide us on suitable menu combinations, so ordering was confusing. One paneer gravy arrived unusually quickly, which made me wonder if it had been returned from another table. It was poorly prepared, and we had to throw it away. The rates are comparable to other properties, but the service and amenities don’t justify the price. It feels like the premium is all for the location.

We’ve visited several times, mostly for lunch on trips to Konark, and once stayed overnight. The seating is good and the view is superb, plus there’s access to a private beach, a huge plus. Food’s a hit, especially the tandoor whole khainga, and the staff give good advice on choosing fish. Service can be slow, though. There are flies everywhere, which are a real pain. They need a separate place for dirty dishes. The rooms are small, dark, and overpriced.
