The cottage sits right beside a tea plantation, with lovely grassy surroundings and a great view. Our room was cozy and peaceful too. Staff hospitality was great, and the homemade food tasted nice. I’d strongly recommend it if you want a calm break from noisy city life.

The practical issues were limited parking, the heater being switched off, and some sand in the water supply, which raised hygiene concerns. At a hill station, steady hot water should be a necessity. Meal pricing also felt steep: ₹180 for rice, sambar, rasam, curd, and a basic dal side dish. The simple, home-cooked taste was pleasant, but the value felt questionable when A2B offers a fuller North Indian thali with more variety for the same price. Better matching the prices to what’s served would leave guests more satisfied. There were positives too. The staff were polite, attentive, and welcoming, the location was convenient for nearby attractions, and the calm setting and clean rooms gave the place a homely feel. The meals were simple and satisfying. As a solicitor who travels often, I consider both comfort and value, and I found my Aira Residency stay pleasant overall. It suits solo guests and families, though drivers may find the limited parking inconvenient. I’d still recommend it to people who value friendly hospitality and a peaceful, homely atmosphere. Be mindful of the higher costs for meals and extra bedding. With improvements to pricing and basic amenities, it could be a top choice.

The view was quite good, and that was the one thing we liked. Otherwise, the hotel fell short on cleanliness, amenities, and service. The room and bathroom had a bad odor, the sheets and towels weren’t clean, and we got only two towels for four people. Staff seemed hesitant when we asked for more, and only provided two extra after repeated requests. The bathroom lock was broken and took several follow-ups to fix. Food was overpriced, and the portion sizes weren’t what we wanted.

The tea gardens and sunrise made for a really nice view, but I wouldn’t choose to stay here again. The rooms are big, though cleanliness was poor, including the floors, sheets, and towels. A family room means going down three floors to reach it, which would be difficult for an older person. If the rate is good and you can live with these issues, you may still want to book. There were two service boys and another cook at the hotel. They were helpful, served promptly, and were good to deal with. Give them plenty of notice if you want food.
