Anitha's Garden Stay

Yousuf is such a kind-hearted owner, and the place has a great feel to it. The beach is only a one-minute walk away. We booked directly and didn't pay in advance; even at check-in, he said we could settle up when checking out. We needed a kitchen to cook food for our child, and although there wasn't one, Yousuf arranged one within a few hours after we asked. I'd recommend staying here. We had a pleasant experience and expect others will too.

We'd seen the high Trip Advisor rating and walked about 3 km from where we were staying so we wouldn't miss this place. It ended up being the one low point of our four-day trip to Kerala. Service was extremely slow. We had to wait at least 10 minutes just to get someone's attention, and the first dish took nearly 45 minutes after ordering. The second came about an hour and 15 minutes in. We had time and waited to try the food, but it disappointed too. The pizza cheese tasted old, and one of our shakes was very watery instead of thick.

We ate here for lunch and dinner and really liked both the food and the staff. It's a clean restaurant, with friendly service and a rooftop view of the sea. The seafood was good, and the fresh fruit juices are homemade. We'd happily recommend this Bistro for a meal or just a drink.

The fish Mollie and coronation chicken were the best meal we've had on this holiday. Service was attentive, the food was excellent, and the beer was strong and very good, though the bill called it pop juice. The handwash area had soap and a towel, and the toilet was clean, with toilet roll, which was a first for me. We'll be back.
