The beach is right outside Neelakanta Hotel, so you step straight onto the sand. Our Deluxe Sea View Room had an uninterrupted view of the ocean from the front. Watching the sunrise from the balcony and waking to the waves made the stay unforgettable. The property felt peaceful and had a lovely coastal atmosphere. It was clean and well maintained. Every meal we ordered was fresh, flavorful, and nicely presented. Vimal, the restaurant attendant, was especially polite and attentive, and his food suggestions were ones we genuinely enjoyed. His personal touch made dining even better. My family and I had a delightful stay, with the comfort, scenery, food, and warm hospitality we’d hoped for. I’d recommend it for a peaceful beachfront getaway in Kovalam.

The room and balcony at The Neelakanta Hotel had a breathtaking sea view. It’s near Lighthouse Beach, and the rooms were tidy, clean, and well maintained. The seafood was delicious, and the staff were polite and helpful. A lovely choice for a relaxing beach holiday.

The rooms were nice, and the staff were friendly and supportive. But the food was a letdown, especially if you’re vegetarian. There weren’t many vegetarian choices, they weren’t tasty, and even the included breakfast was below average. Flies were all over the dining area, with crows and cats nearby, which left me concerned about hygiene. I don’t think this hotel has good options for vegetarians. Better food, particularly vegetarian dishes, and attention to the dining-area hygiene would make this a much better stay.

The staff were always polite and professional, and ready to help with a smile. Our room was comfortable, very clean, and well maintained. The location offers beautiful views and a peaceful atmosphere. We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Neelakanta and would recommend it for a getaway.

Vimal made dinner memorable for our family. He was attentive, polite, and caring, walked us patiently through the menu, and made sure everything came out on time. His warm, professional service really stood out. The Neelkanta Beach Resort is close to the beach, with a calm, relaxing feel. The food was delicious and well prepared, with enough variety for everyone in our family. We had a lovely experience, would recommend it to families visiting Kovalam, and would be glad to return.
