The housekeeping team quickly removed a lizard that we found in our room, though that was quite an unwelcome greeting at an otherwise very good property. We ordered the Kumarakom Curry Meen fish curry but later realized we'd been served something else. Fresh juice prices also differed between the restaurant food menu and the drinks menu. The hotel agreed to make the pricing consistent.

The food was mediocre for a resort of this standard, though Nikhil, the dining room team lead, did a lot to improve the experience. He was attentive, easy to talk to, and kept us informed. The rest of the staff were polite and efficient, but many seemed reserved, so a little more warmth and interaction would help. The grounds are peaceful and beautifully landscaped, and the property is very clean. It's an older hotel, but clearly well looked after. Service from the staff is a real strength. We also met the General Manager while he was inspecting the resort. He was warm, professional, and approachable, and kindly took a photo of my wife and me himself. It was a thoughtful moment. We had a pleasant stay despite a few things that could be better, and I'd definitely come back.

Sanchita, the room service lady, decorated our room for our baby before we checked in. It was such a kind surprise and made us feel welcome right away. You could see the care she put into every detail, and as new parents, that small gesture made our stay really memorable. We're very grateful for her effort and kindness. 💛

We left early, deeply upset and disappointed, and won't return. We had booked the Presidential Pool Villa at "The Zuri Kumarakom, Kerala Resort & Spa" expecting a private, premium stay. While I was using the pool inside the room, hotel staff came in with a master key without permission, an emergency, or any justification. Whatever they say about knocking, entering a guest's room uninvited was a serious breach of privacy and trust. When I reported it to Duty Manager Mr. Santosh, he was dismissive and arrogant. He said casually that the hotel had “no issue” if I pursued legal action. That response, along with the intrusion, showed a failure of service and basic decency. I strongly advise others to think twice before trusting this property with their safety and privacy.
