The Kumbha Bagh

The meals, breakfast, lunch, and dinner, were all great, and overall the food was very good. The room was huge, clean, and luxurious, and the staff were helpful and honest. Whenever we needed help, they responded quickly. The resort sits high among the mountains, so it was peaceful and had no pollution. The grounds are lovely, with pools, a game zone, spacious gardens, plants, and different kinds of flowers. We felt safe there, and it’s suitable for families. The resort Wi-Fi was available, though mobile network coverage was limited because of the elevation. You can also explore Kumbhalgarh Tracking, Jangal Safari, Open jeep Ride, and some historic places from the hotel. I’d recommend a visit for nature lovers and anyone looking for peace.

Mr. Arjun Singh (GM) deserves special mention for being approachable, polite, and quick to solve problems. He took a proactive, personal interest in making our stay smooth and memorable. The staff were courteous and professional from arrival, and their care was clear throughout. The food was delicious and thoughtfully served, and the atmosphere was serene and elegant, with the historic character of Kumbhalgarh all around. Cleanliness and comfort were kept to a high standard, and we especially enjoyed the awesome bone fire. The Kumbha Bagh combines comfort, luxury, and warm Rajasthani hospitality. I’d gladly stay again and recommend it to anyone visiting Kumbhalgarh.

The location and setting are good, but our experience with the service was awful. We asked for a bonfire, then waited more than 35 minutes in the cold garden with children and elderly parents. Staff kept offering excuses, first saying they were eating and it would be ready in 10 minutes, then giving other random reasons. When we finally spoke to the manager, he said they had only four bonfires and didn’t provide personal ones, insisting everything was “common.” That didn’t match what we could see: other guests were getting full service, including dinner at the same spot. If the space was common, it was hard to understand how dinner was being served there and guests could be expected to get up. The staff came across as extremely unprofessional, dishonest, and irresponsible. It was one of the worst hospitality experiences we’ve had, all over a basic request. This behavior was completely unacceptable, and I wouldn’t recommend the place based on its service.

The only good thing about this hotel was the supportive staff. The property was poorly maintained, and the swimming pool was dirty and unhygienic.
