It's easy to find, and the manager is friendly, speaks good English, and can be reached on WhatsApp. Check-out time is quite generous, and there's a seating area outside the room. The place is surrounded by forest, with a power socket by the bed, a ceiling fan, dark enough curtains, hard soap at the sink, and hot water without having to switch on a heater. I didn't see any cockroaches. The location is pretty good too, close to ATMs, shops, restaurants, street food, and the bus terminal. It's near the main road without the traffic noise, though music from a nearby place can be heard, even in the morning, so bring earplugs. There were mosquitoes in the room despite keeping the door shut and using the nets on the windows. One of the two window nets had a hole, and the bathroom window had no net. The bum gun pressure could be stronger, and there was some mold in the room. I showed them a way to remove it.

A good budget stay, tucked into nature just off a main road but still close to everything. The staff were kind and very helpful. They arranged tours and bought our tickets for a martial arts show.

The staff were friendly and helpful, and the setting is very quiet, with trees and lush green scenery all around. It's a peaceful place with simple elegance rather than luxury, and the cool natural surroundings meant we didn't need air conditioning. Periyar National Park, Elephant Junctions, Kalari and Kathakali shows, and other hotels and restaurants are nearby.

The hosts really made our two nights at Neema’s Homestay. They were extremely friendly, helpful, and always trying to make our stay pleasant. The room itself was simple but comfortable, with hot water. It was quiet there, yet still close to the city center and bus terminals. We’d happily recommend it.

The staff are friendly, and the homestay is clean, hygienic, and peaceful right in the city centre. There's parking and hot water all day. Contact the owner about tickets, he can book Kathakali and kalari shows at a discount. Worth trying.
