The Mountain Courtyard Thekady

The management’s care really impressed us. Late at night, my cousin’s child became unwell and we needed to get to the hospital urgently. The resort immediately helped and even sent two staff members with us. Their concern and kindness meant a lot. We had a wonderful two-day stay at Mountain Courtyard Resort. The rooms were fantastic, clean, and comfortable, and the peaceful, well-kept grounds made it relaxing. It was a great experience, and I highly recommend it for a calm, caring stay. ♥️♥️

The biggest hassle was the missing refrigerator. We asked several times, but none was brought, and our baby's meal spoiled overnight. The pool also seemed poorly maintained, and staff kept approaching us to sell spa treatments priced nearly twice as much as similar services elsewhere. The room didn't match the booking photos, and the advertised jungle view was absent or misleading. We were given two single beds pushed together instead of a proper king bed, which was very uncomfortable. After one night, we had bad neck and back pain. There was no proper welcome either. The stay fell well short of what the property advertised, and we wouldn't recommend it.

The drive to the hotel was lovely, with trees lining the scenic approach. We also enjoyed the food at breakfast, and the rooms, location, and service were all good. A couple of small things could be improved: there was no calling bell in the room, the bathroom floor was a little slippery, and a shaving kit would have been useful.

The evening bonfire and cultural events gave our group a fun way to spend time together, and the food was excellent throughout. The staff were generous and welcoming, too. We were travelling with friends and kids, and having our rooms close together made things much easier. The kids' play area and pool were nearby as well. Mountain Courtyard turned out to be a great choice for our trip. We had a memorable stay, and I'd recommend it for families or groups.
