Hotel Nagu Palace by OYO Rooms

The best one in all of Kundapura, and easy to reach since it's right in the middle of town.

I was there in October 2024. The room was decent and had air conditioning. The location is right across from a mosque, so the speaker call at 5 am was annoying. There's no water dispenser, only a small purifier for drinking water, and bottled water costs extra. Otherwise, it was a decent stay.

Our group of 15 people stayed for one night. The room was clean, bright, spacious, and had good facilities. The staff were very helpful, including arranging a vehicle from the hotel to the railway station. Hot water wasn't available around the clock. We arrived at 9 and couldn't get any from the tap, though the staff did bring me a bucket of hot water. That was appreciated, but it was still quite inconvenient. There was also no mosquito repellent in the room, and mosquitoes kept us from sleeping properly.

The room itself was good and the AC worked, but the internet was very slow and the TV hadn't been recharged. When I asked about it, the manager didn't respond. There are veg and non-veg hotels in the basement, on the main highway near Kundapura Koteswara. Still, the double AC room wasn't worth 1800. Photos attached.
