Apple Orchard Resort

I really appreciated how committed everyone was to looking after us. The front office team, room boys, and restaurant staff all showed great hospitality. Mr Kumar Sharma was especially down to earth with guests. The staff were so cordial and helpful, always just a call away whenever we needed anything. Wishing them all the best.

The room was spacious enough for our family of four, and the staff kindly packed breakfast for us when we had to leave early for our tour. We had a one-night stay at this lovely property in Lachen on our recent trip to sikkim. It overlooks the mountains, the service was nice, and the menu had plenty of excellent vegetarian choices. I’d definitely recommend it.

Lunch was freshly made to order, even the vegetables were chopped and the momos prepared fresh, so it took a little time to arrive. The meal was worth the wait. The kids stayed warm by the fireplace while we adults took in the views from the window seats. Getting up to the resort is less pleasant, though: there’s no proper path, just around 25 stone steps to climb. Be careful if anyone in your group is elderly.

The food really stood out, both for its quality and the care in serving it. They cooked everything fresh for each meal, and hot chapatis with chicken curry hit the spot in winter weather in lachen. The property is small, but the guest rooms and shared areas are laid out so well that nothing feels cramped. You do have to climb some stairs to get to reception, but it’s worth it. The staff are humble, polite, and always ready to help. Highly recommend 👌👍
