Ourguest Bichu Homestay

The view from the room was as good as you could hope for, and the place is very well kept with modern amenities. We were surprised to find heated mats on the mattresses. The hosts are so kind, too. A lovely stay, and I’d come back for a week if life lets me.

The food was fresh, wholesome and home-style, made with produce from their own farm. I also loved meeting the dadi, who was adorable and unbelievably fit 🥹. The staff were warm, helpful and always smiling. Beechu Homestay felt like a little mountain dream, with unreal views and the prettiest peaceful mornings. Highly recommend for a quiet stay with good food ✨

The food at Beechu Homestay was simple and so tasty, with very little spice so the organic vegetables from the garden could shine. Hishey cooks as well as hosting, and Pratigya helped serve us fresh farm-to-table meals. The village setting is lovely, too. Beechu is away from the busy part of Lachung town, but you can still reach town on foot or by car. Wandering the winding lanes and passing the temples was a peaceful part of the stay. We stayed in a spacious, beautiful room with a balcony that was partly enclosed and partly open. We could sit inside in the warmth and look out, then step outside for the sun. The warm welcome from Hishey, his mother and Pratigya made it feel like being with family. There was conversation, laughter and stories about their lives, not just a guest-host relationship. We’d heard so many good things before arriving, and the stay exceeded our expectations. It’s often booked up, but if you’re going to Lachung and can get a room, make this your home.

The meals were freshly cooked and served with such care that they felt just like home cooking. We woke up to beautiful mountain views from a spacious, very clean room with a comfortable sitting area. The host family made us feel at home right from arrival, and were flexible and ready to help whenever we needed something. Our stay was smooth and stress-free, with comfort and hospitality that felt like good value for money. One of the best homestays we’ve experienced in Lachung, Sikkim. Highly recommended for a peaceful, comfortable visit with genuine hospitality.
