The Grand Dragon Ladakh

I don’t know whether the rates stay the same throughout the year, but going off season meant the service was outstanding for the price. Everyone was efficient and helpful, from the security staff and doormen to the front desk. I had very little time and some last-minute transport needs, and they helped organize a short weekend around what I needed. I’d stayed at another equally excellent Leh hotel on my previous visit, but it closes in winter. Grand Dragon will be my choice next time.

The staff were exceptionally courteous and helpful, and my meals were especially memorable thanks to Mr. Sunil Kumar at dinner and Mr. Basu at breakfast. Cleanliness, food, hospitality, and the stay as a whole were excellent. In my view, this is the best hotel in Leh. After coming back from Khardungla Pass, I became ill, likely because of the very dry, cold weather and high altitude. Mr. Alee responded quickly and guided us in getting to the hospital, for which I’m particularly grateful.

On the drive from Leh to Nubra, they sent me off with hot and regular water, bakery treats, and a thermas of Kahwa. Such a thoughtful touch. Sunil handled all the food arrangements, and Mumtaz helped sort out my Nubra itinerary, making everything easy. The service was quick and the food seriously good. The Grand Dragon Ladakh was one of the best places I’ve stayed. From the minute I arrived, it was clear they care about making the stay special. The amenities were top-notch, and the hospitality was even better. If you’re in Ladakh, you have to stay here.

The room had a lovely view of the snow-covered mountains, and its humidifier was a big help in the dry weather. It was clean, warm, and superb. The food was amazing too. When we needed oxygen, they brought a cylinder right away. Staff were courteous and prompt, and the location was convenient, very close to the market. Best luxury hotel in Leh.
