The rooms were clean and good, and you can walk there from the bus port. The staff weren't very cooperative, though. We were trekking and planned to return the same day. After checking out, we asked to leave our bags for a while, and even offered to pay cloakroom charges. Receptionist Mr gulab Rana said they had no such policy and wouldn't listen, which really let us down.
The place has a prime location, spacious rooms, and a friendly caretaker who provided good service. Room condition seems to depend on the booking app: the OYO room I booked was old and smelled musty, while rooms booked through MMT or another app were newer and well maintained. I'd avoid booking through OYO or Agoda.
I stayed four nights and found the place really dirty, especially compared with other places in India where I've paid the same. The staff were very unfriendly and no help when I had questions or problems. I hope my stay was an exception for the hotel's sake, but after this experience I can't recommend it.
The room was third class, and there was no bottled water anywhere in the resort. The receptionist was rude to customers. They show a lower price, then demand more payment at check-in and won't hand over the room until you pay. They deal through many sites. It felt like they were taking money for nothing.
We booked through OYO, but the hotel management didn't honor the booking and made us pay more than the amount agreed at the time of booking. That was unfair. I should get a refund of 50% of the Rs. 414/- I paid directly when they demanded extra money during the online booking.
