FabExpress JMD Palace

Cockroaches were everywhere in the room, and there was no hygiene. Breakfast was a mess too: the kitchen didn't come until 10 AM, and even the complimentary tea and toast arrived after that. The staff seemed completely unprofessional and unable to handle guests. Worst experience, try to avoid it.

I just wanted a decent, clean budget room where I could feel safe. I wasn't expecting five star facilities, but this place fell far short. I've stayed at Fab hotels in Ahmedabad, Indore, and Hyderabad and had good experiences, as had friends of mine, so I booked FabExpress Gayatri palace through the fab hotels mobile app expecting the usual standard. Lucknow was a bad surprise. There were no toiletries, the bathroom was dirty and the water clogged unpredictably, and the basin tap was broken. Dust covered the table, side table, almirah, and pretty much everything else. Staff were often hanging around at reception and seemed unprofessional. When I asked for the bathroom to be cleaned the next day, they used the same mop they'd used in the gallery for the bathroom and then the room. Just imagine the dirt and germs. If I could, I'd give this a minus rating.

The food tasted delicious, and the rooms and views were amazing. The staff were also very cooperative and nice. The only downside is that Gayatri palace is a little far from central Lucknow, which makes it less convenient for getting around. Otherwise, it's a great hotel and I'd recommend booking a stay.

They pressured me to cancel my online booking and pay extra for an offline one, more than 2000 plus GST. A bad hotel. Please don't go.
