Hotel Charans International

I went to the bar with a friend and ordered veg pakora. It only arrived after he’d had four beers. I kept asking the bartender, Bhaiya, how long it would take, and he just repeated that it was coming. The staff’s behavior was very bad. They spoke to guests in a way that made me wonder why I’d come to this place at all.

I’ve been a regular at Charan, but this visit was disappointing. The room condition has become very poor and the room wasn’t comfortable. The lift is so small it can’t take five or six people to the second floor at once. Outside, rainwater collects everywhere and turns the area muddy, so they should make a proper road out there. Service was slow. When we checked in, no water had been served. Dialling 701 on the telephone didn’t work; I reported it to Reception, was told it was working, but tried again and it still didn’t work. Tired, we ordered two Rs 220 thalis for lunch, but the food came cold and the chapatis were like cold roti. They didn’t share the Wi-Fi password, and the staff weren’t friendly. There were only old men working there. The freezer that used to have Coke, limca, Frooti, and other soft drinks in the previous Charan hotel wasn’t working this time either.

The poolside food was great, and the party scene by the pool was amazing. Our rooms were spacious and clean, with super comfortable beds. Every staff member seemed to care about their work and was willing to help with whatever we asked. They were courteous throughout. We really enjoyed our stay, and I’d happily recommend the resort and come back.

The rooms were nice, clean, and friendly, and the service was good. There’s a big decorative fountain at the entrance that looks especially attractive at night. People usually like taking selfies there. Nice hotel to visit in Lucknow.
