Lebua Lucknow - Saraca Estate

A nice detail at Saraca Hotel Lucknow is the Lucknawi chikan work motifs on the door handles. They add to the heritage feel, and the team’s attention to that design is worth noticing. The Sheesh Mahal area is beautifully designed and well maintained as a banquet hall, and seems well suited to small celebrations and gatherings. I had a sandwich and coffee, both simple and delicious, and the calm ambience made it an easy place to relax. The hotel has a classy, peaceful atmosphere, with a heritage touch as soon as you walk in. It’s a busy place, so reserve a table. Good for food, a quiet sit, or a special occasion.

The rooftop bar is fantastic, and there’s good choice across the restaurants with excellent quality food. We especially liked 1936 for its very good Italian food. Breakfast was excellent too, with plenty to choose from, and Komal and Vivek, the restaurant manager, looked after us and helped plan our day. The hotel sits in a spectacular old mansion, tastefully converted into a luxury property. It’s a beautiful heritage place, full of charm and style. The swimming pool could use some attention since it looks a bit neglected, though I imagine it’ll soon be brought up to the standard of the rest of the hotel.

Our room was spacious, quiet, and really comfortable, with excellent bedding and a great bathroom. The hotel itself is classy and nicely decorated, with a good restaurant and a splendid breakfast. Service was professional, though perhaps a little cold. It’s in a residential, wealthy area. I’d definitely recommend it if you can get a reasonable price.

The stay was fine overall, but one housekeeping employee made me uncomfortable. After I tipped him, he began talking about politics and indirectly bringing up Google reviews. Staff should keep things professional and avoid those sorts of conversations with guests. His name was Ajay Kumar Mishra.
