OYO 22078 Hotel Grand

I arrived around 11 at night, but the four young guys there didn’t know how to behave and no one seemed able to help. I’d booked through the official OYO app for about Rs. 1400 for two nights. At the hotel they refused to let me in at that price and said I could call OYO if I wanted, then demanded Rs. 999 for just one night to allow me to stay. It took two hours to get through to an OYO senior executive, and even then he couldn’t persuade the hotel staff to admit me. I’d already paid, so this was the worst hotel experience of my life. Around 2 AM, in the dark, I had to ask for a refund and book another hotel offline. My personal opinion, don’t book this place.

There’s no option for zero stars, so I gave one. They kept my money, then told me on arrival that no room was available and that my booking had been “postponed.” I got no email or phone call about any change. The service and customer support were awful, and the ambiance wasn’t good either. There were dogs barking out on the street. Avoid this hotel, especially if booking through OYO or coming from far away.

The air conditioning was off for almost 12 hours, and nobody seemed concerned. Repeated requests for toilet cleaning and the usual daily room cleaning went unanswered. This was the most unhygienic, customer-unfriendly hotel I’ve ever been to. I still haven’t found anything good about it.

They charge a lot for water, food, and pretty much everything. I paid for Wi-Fi but never got to use it, despite asking around 10 times in one day and being told each time there was a technical issue. The TV dish also kept having problems. There was a broken bed, the AC was always an issue, and the washroom was filthy with cockroaches and other insects. The receptionist behaved very badly too.
