OYO 45546 Woodstock Homestay

This was the worst homestay experience I’ve ever had. I expect a homestay to feel warm and hospitable, with a personal touch, but this place was horrible. They called it complimentary breakfast, yet served dry pieces of bread and tea I couldn’t drink. The woman managing the place seemed completely indifferent to how dirty the surroundings were, both where they worked and in the space offered to guests. On top of that, they were downright rude. It deserves a minus rating.

They left me waiting despite having vacant rooms, and the staff were very rude. They also argued that I had to pay extra at check-in. The hotel didn’t honor my prepaid booking through Make my trip, even though it’s listed on MMT. Thankfully, MMT resolved the issue and booked me another hotel right away. One star is already too generous.

The room smelled awful, cockroaches were all over it, and the washroom was unhygienic. Service wasn’t proper either.

The location was the only good thing about this hotel. The rooms were below my expectations and low standard. They also charged me extra, more than double the amount on my booking.
