OYO 6804 Hotel Buddha Residency

The location is a real plus, and the rooms have enough space and a mini fridge. Room service was good and the food tasted nice. The bathrooms need attention, especially the showers, though. Still, it was worth staying there. ☀

The rooms were spacious, and the OYO guy treated us nicely. That’s the only reason I’m giving two stars. I booked through Oyo for a wedding because it was only about a five-minute walk from my friend’s house, but the stay went badly. The staff seemed uninterested and didn’t even want to show us the rooms. They required the full advance for my two-day stay, and said we could leave if we didn’t pay. Their policy also meant we couldn’t order from Zomato or Swiggy. Breakfast was basically bread, butter, and tea, with little else to put on a plate. I can’t say for sure what caused it, but every washroom smelled foul, and changing rooms twice didn’t help. The hotel staff acted as if they were doing us a favor by giving us a room.

I used to visit the garden bakery often because the staff were so cooperative, and I was really impressed by the service and product quality. Over time, that feeling faded, and now the helpful staff are gone too. They should bring back new cake varieties and designs like they had before. I don't think I'll visit again.

Getting there was difficult, with the metro construction leaving a dingy, shady route, and we had a lot of trouble booking an Uber. Inside, the rooms were unhygienic, the quilts had food stains, and the staff weren't welcoming or friendly. Not worth it. Please avoid.
