At Hotel Clarke inn, the room was dirty, with lots of dirt under the bed, which showed that proper cleaning wasn't done regularly. The rent was high for the facilities, and the service didn't justify the price. The person at reception demanded payment every day at 11 a.m., even though I was staying for multiple days. The daily check-in and check-out process was also unnecessary and inconvenient. The experience was disappointing. Management needs to improve cleanliness, pricing, and staff behavior.

The hotel has a minimum daily price of ₹800. Even if you get an Oyo offer, they still ask you to pay the remaining amount in cash at the hotel. There's also a serious water linkage issue.

The rooms were clean and had the basics I needed, including a comfortable bed and a roomy bathroom. Staff were welcoming, and the lobby felt modern but still cozy. Oyo Hotel Clarke Inn is also handy for getting around Varanasi, with attractions, shops, and places to eat nearby. There aren't luxury-resort extras, but the affordable price, cleanliness, and attentive service made for a comfortable stay. It worked well as a convenient base.

This has happened to me four or five times over the past one or two years. I book through Oyo and get a confirmation, but then the hotel owner refuses to give me the room at the price shown on Oyo. In the end, I've had to pay the owner's higher price.
