This room was way overpriced for its condition. It was stuffy, with no windows, and the walls were mouldy. There were holders for fans but no fans, and the light fittings had no bulbs. Water leaked through the bathroom ceiling, which looked like it could come down at any time. If a room is being maintained, they shouldn’t make it available to guests.

We ended up cancelling a tea order because it still hadn’t arrived an hour after we asked. The hotel also has no restaurant of its own, which made us unsure about the food quality, so although we’d booked breakfast in advance, we skipped it to try Coorg’s other options. Our suite-style room was very spacious and could easily fit four people. The layout is a bit odd, with reception two floors below ground level, and there’s no lift, so you have to use the stairs.

The staff made us feel very welcome, always smiling and ready to help. They even assisted with sending a personal courier, and nothing felt like too much trouble. We stayed for two days after booking seven rooms on our first visit, and had a great time. The rooms were spacious, clean, and quiet, with comfortable king-sized beds. The location is good, within walking distance of Raja Seat. It felt like a home away from home, with service so we didn’t have to cook. We’d happily return and recommend it to anyone looking for that kind of stay.

Getting to the rooms means going down a long flight of stairs. The staff will carry your luggage, but it could be difficult for anyone who struggles to walk. They also gave us only one towel for a double room. The rooms were clean and more spacious than we expected, and the staff were helpful and polite. We arrived late in the evening and still had hot water. There’s no restaurant on site, but they provide a menu from another restaurant for ordering. The hotel is near Raja's seat, though the furniture shop out front makes it a little confusing to find.
