The staff were helpful and friendly during our festival-time visit. It’s a budget stay near Madikeri bus stand, though at 1.6 k per night you shouldn’t expect luxury.

They refused to accept our booking through a third-party website. Their own site listed Rs 1705/-, but when I called, he asked for Rs 2300/-. The receptionist/owner’s behavior was awful. Worst cheater.

The location is convenient, close to the bus stand and other amenities, and the outside is painted attractively. Inside was a daydream in the bad sense. The rooms weren’t clean, and the corridor constantly smelled of cigarette smoke. There’s no lift, so you have to use the stairs, and it isn’t budget-friendly. There’s no water heater in the room. They turn on a switch heater for a while and then switch it off. If you need more hot water, you have to wait and call them again. They keep the switches and operate them themselves. Not recommended at all.
