Hotel Megh Madhur

There are plenty of places to eat around here, and the staff are good and cooperative. The property sits right in the main market, which makes it convenient if you want to explore the shopping area of Mahableshwar.

The room was clean and fresh, and the hotel is suitable for families or couples. The location near the main market street is good, service was good, and free parking is available. On the downside, the TV didn’t work after we’d booked and paid, and weekend rates are high. Pick a window room if you want the best view.

We rented two rooms for the family, at 1100 per room in the off season, and the rate was negotiable. The rooms were average, though the hotel could pay more attention to cleanliness. Staff were well behaved. The housekeeper Santosh was very good, although he seemed to have some mental illness.

We stayed at the hotel for 12 hours, for around 1200/-. The evening was nice. My only issue was that hot water was available just from 7 to 9 am, not all day. Given how chilly the climate is there, I think they should provide it 24 hours.
