The breakfast was good and free, and there’s plenty of parking, including accommodation and restroom facilities for drivers. The garden also has indoor sports. Our large mahogany room had an extra bed, balcony, cross ventilation, and a pleasant view of the mountains and strawberry garden. The family rooms are on the second and third floors, and the toilets come with shower caps, shaving and dental kits. It’s an elegant choice for a two-day family trip in Metgutad. A few things could be better: breakfast starts too late and has limited options, and the hilly, sloping access road calls for careful driving. The in-house restaurant should be open for meals, the exterior needs renovation, and the in-room Wi-Fi signal is weak.

Getting there takes some effort because of the narrow uphill roads, and the location isn’t very convenient. Parking is limited, there’s no in-house restaurant, and the building could use fresh paint. A few swings in the garden would be nice for children. The staff were the best part, polite, helpful, and supportive. It was a decent stay, though there’s room to improve.

The staff were polite and tried to help, but the stay was disappointing. Breakfast choices were very limited, with poha every day. Toiletries and water bottles were missing, the bed was uncomfortable, and the cushions were dirty with black spots. Wi-Fi was very poor, and frequent power cuts with no generator backup made things worse. Nearby food options weren’t great either. The reviews felt misleading.

There’s no lift in this three-storey hotel, and the car park is too small, so you may have to move your car to make room for others. Reaching the place means driving up a steep, very narrow hill road. In the Mahogany room, the blankets were torn and the fan didn’t cover the whole room. The sandwich at breakfast came on hard bread with butter known to the hotel.
